Shomen

Aikido is a Japanese Martial Art developed by Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei. It is a defensive system that combines throws, joint locking, striking, and pinning techniques, coupled with knife, staff, and the traditional Japanese sword.

Aikido blends with an attacker's energy and uses that energy against them. This is why people of all sizes and ages can practice Aikido.

Calumet Aikido offers traditional Aikido from a certified instructor in a disciplined, safe, and fun environment. Through hard training and standardized testing requirements, as a member dojo with Aikido world Alliance we offer rank certification through AWA that will lead to Black Belt status through the Aikikai Foundation, World Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Any rank, style, or affiliation is welcome.
